| Summer Art Camp June 16th - 20th 9:00am-11:30am: 2D Design Drawing, Painting and Printmaking more
This week our theme is all about nature- insects, flowers, landscapes and more! We will make our own paint using natural pigments- we will explore eco-printing after taking an expedition walk to gather materials, we will paint a patterned landscape on a stretched canvas, paint larger than life watercolor flowers and make our own greeting cards with a self-created intaglio etching that we print on the printing press. Of course, we will make a wearable piece of art for our camp shirt! | | $145.00 |

| Summer Art Camp June 16th - 20th 12:30pm-3pm: 3D Design & Sculpture more
Taking our inspiration from insects and the work of Alexander Calder, we will create a kinetic insect sculpture that hangs from the ceiling! We will create a mug out of clay that we have imprinted with flowers, grasses, rocks and sticks. After exploring rock formations, we will create a wood relief sculpture inspired by the work of Louis Nevelson!
We will create a glass slump mold in the form of a flying insect and slump glass in the kiln to create a beautiful sun catcher! And of course- Camp T-Shirts! | | $145.00 |

| Summer Art Camp June 23rd - 27th 9:00am-11:30am: 2D Design more
The theme for week 2 is Living creatures and cool places as we explore a variety of mediums! We will paint a pop art self-portrait on canvas after learning how to use a simple grid to help us draw. We will create a textile collage of an animal- learning how to make a pattern and then using heavily textured fabrics that we stain and dye with textile mediums to create our animal! We create a linoleum mono print and explore cyanotype printing with the sun! Using unusual tools and objects, we will create a contemporary cityscape using acrylic paint and watercolor accents. Finally- our camp shirts will be made through exploring Gyotaku- and ancient Japanese printmaking technique originally used by fishermen for documenting fish species! | | $145.00 |

Students will explore gyotaku (ancient Japanese printmaking technique originally used by fishermen for documenting fish species) and they will print on clay in order to create a "fish dish"!
Students will look at the human form- learn about proportion and create a wire sculpture of a person in motion! Drawing our inspiration on incredible nest builders, students will look at examples of the way different birds construct their nests and then create a large nest basket using oak reeds, grasses and coco fibers. Student's will explore using "casting" and will create a concrete birdbath with collected objects encapsulated into the surface. Finally- we will have fun making water balloon dyed camp t-shirts! | | $145.00 |
